Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has signed a long-term LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for the procurement of liquefied natural gas from the UAE.
Under the agreement, HPCL will procure LNG from Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (ALNG), a subsidiary of ADNOC Gas, for a 10-year term. ADNOC Gas is a large-scale integrated gas processing and sales company operating across the gas value chain.
As per the terms of the SPA, HPCL will receive LNG at its 5 million tonne per annum LNG regasification terminal at Chhara, Gujarat, which was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2025. The supplies will support HPCL in meeting the requirements of its refineries, City Gas Distribution (CGD) network, and gas demand across key sectors such as fertilizers, power and petrochemicals.
